Simetria delivered the complete in-house refurbishment of 110 student ensuites in York within a live, occupied PBSA development — stripping out and rebuilding four rooms every week through a carefully controlled rolling programme.
A £640k rolling refurbishment programme across 110 student ensuites within a live PBSA development in York.
Delivered entirely by Simetria’s in-house team, each ensuite was stripped back and comprehensively rebuilt, including plumbing alterations and upgrades, repairs and preparation, new bathroom finishes and flooring, together with new flooring to the associated studio areas. The works progressed at four rooms per week, providing a controlled sequence of completed handovers while the wider development remained occupied and operational.

Full strip-out and refurbishment of 110 existing student ensuites, taking each room through removal, preparation and repairs to new bathroom finishes, flooring and final completion as one directly delivered Simetria package.

Complete ensuite upgrade incorporating plumbing works, repairs and preparation, new bathroom finishes and flooring, alongside replacement flooring within the associated student studios.

A structured rolling programme delivering four completed rooms each week while the PBSA remained occupied. Simetria’s in-house team controlled the full refurbishment sequence, maintaining consistent quality, programme certainty and minimal disruption to residents.
