Project Overview
Simetria delivered a large-scale, bespoke furniture package for 440 student accommodation rooms in Newcastle, through a coordinated, two-phase rolling programme.
Combining bespoke oak furniture, seating, tables, desk chairs, soft furnishings and decorative accessories, the project encompassed approximately 2,400 individual pieces, supported by fire safety specifications, five-year warranties and digital Furniture Passport records.
The Newcastle project involved the design coordination, procurement, manufacture and delivery of a comprehensive furniture package across 440 PBSA rooms. Delivered in two phases of approximately 1,200 pieces each, the programme required careful coordination of bespoke furniture production, supply chain management, logistics and installation sequencing.
The furniture specification combined bespoke oak furniture with desk chairs, sofas, lounge chairs, artwork, coat hangers, rugs and pinboards, creating a coordinated interior scheme suitable for the demands of modern student accommodation.
Particular attention was given to furniture durability, fire safety requirements and long-term operational performance, with specified CRIB 5 upholstery materials, fire-retardant foam, five-year warranties and Furniture Passport asset records.

Bespoke oak furniture was coordinated with the wider student accommodation furniture specification, combining durability, functionality and consistent design across 440 rooms. The package was developed to meet the practical requirements of high-occupancy PBSA environments.

Simetria supplied an extensive range of furniture and interior accessories, including bespoke oak pieces, desk chairs, sofas, lounge chairs, artwork, coat hangers, rugs and pinboards. The coordinated package provided a consistent furniture specification across the accommodation.
Phased Manufacturing, Logistics & Delivery

Approximately 2,400 furniture pieces were coordinated across two rolling phases of 1,200 items each. Manufacturing, procurement and logistics were aligned with the phased programme to support efficient delivery and installation while reducing disruption to the wider student accommodation operation.
